The Buzz Brothers Band formed in Greeley in 2008, built on the kind of old-school electric blues that Muddy Waters and Lightnin' Hopkins laid down decades earlier. Their sound is direct: grooved-out boogie and blues played loud enough to feel, loose enough to breathe.
One of Northern Colorado's longest-running blues jams. Greeley-born, blues-raised, still at it since 2008.
Beyond their own gigs, the Buzz Brothers established one of Northern Colorado's longest-running blues jams, a weekly session that has kept the local scene connected and the next generation of players sharp. That jam is still going.
They are affiliated with the High Plains Blues Society and have played venues across Colorado and Wyoming. But this is their hometown festival, and Island Grove is their home stage. They take the Colorado Busker Stage at 3:15 PM Saturday.
Saturday, June 6 at Island Grove Regional Park. Their hometown. Their stage.
